Hare Krishna everyone, as you may know, tomorrow is Lord Balaram's Rasayatra and Lord Krishna's Vasanto Ras as well as the appearance days of a couple of our Gaudiya Vaishnav Acharyas, Sri Vamsivadan Thakur and Sri Shyamanand Prabhu.
Also, If you don't have Gaurabda Calendar 11, it is available for free at Krishna Days.com download page. I've used this software for about five years to calculate Vedic lunar calendars accurately for many locations around the world and I like the customization options. You can make your calendars as advanced or simple as you like and can even calculate anniversaries like vivaha, disappearance and appearance days. I love it and don't know what I would do with out it. I wanted to post a link to the Thousand Names of Lord Balaram-- Nitaai Veda and just to encourage you to read and recited it, this very nice verse from the same.
bhagavato 'nantasya balabhadrasya para-brahmanah kathaam- yah shrinute shraavayate tayaananda-mayo bhavati.
bhagavatah-of the Supreme Personality of Godhead; anantasya-Ananta; balabhadrasya-Lord Balaraama; para-brahmanah-the Supreme Brahman; kathaam-topics; yah-one who; shrinute-hears; shraavayate-causes others to hear; tayaa-by that; aananda-mayah-filled with bliss; bhavati-becomes.
One who hears or repeats these descriptions of limitless Lord Balaraama. the Supreme Personality of Godhead, becomes filled with bliss.
I hope the reader enjoys this beautiful poem in glorification of Lord Balaram this Vasanta Purnima and shares it with others. Please offer me your blessings also, so I may one day enjoy spiritual bliss like a maddened bumblebee who has discovered the bewitching aroma of the Lord.
